Service and restoration

Working with Second Setting Watch Works

At this time, Second Setting Watch Works does not generally take on client work, there are a few reasons for this:

1) I personally work on every watch, from initial evaluation through final assembly and regulation. Bench time is limited, and I prefer to work carefully rather than quickly.

2) My focus is generally on diagnosis and mechanical restoration — returning non-running or neglected watches to honest working condition — rather than simple part replacement.

3) Some watches have very specific service requirements — Rolex, for example — and I’d honestly recommend working through their authorized service network or appropriate manufacturer specialist.

4) Second Setting Watch Works was established primarily to preserve and restore watches discovered in non-running or neglected condition, returning them to service so they may be appreciated once again. This remains the central focus of my work.

That said, if you have a watch crying out for help — perhaps one that’s spent a few too many years in a drawer — you are welcome to make an inquiry here
